Introduction
Rust is a multiplayer-only survival video game developed and published by Facepunch Studios in February 2018 for Microsoft Windows and macOS. Rust pits participants against each other in a sharp, open world setting with the sole goal of survival. Animals, such as vampires and bears, act as a coming threat, but the primary risk comes from other participants. Most maps are procedurally generated, except Hapis Island, a pre-built map. Player vs player (PvP) combat is completed with bows, melee weapons, and craftable guns. Bullets and other projectiles travel in a ballistic trajectory, rather than being hitscan.
